Our Uncanny Story

Heyo Dreamers!! How’s it goin’ in Dreamland? Today we’re here with the first post of…..drum roll please….From Our Hearts!! Yay! We have a pretty crazy story in store for you guys today, so let’s go!

This is one HECK of a spooky story, so brace yourselves!

We might be over-exaggerating here (and by that we mean we’re totally over-exaggerating!). It seemed spooky at the time; but looking back…maybe it was not as scary as we thought. It’s kinda funny if we think about it actually. Lol!

We were on a holiday with a couple of family friends (five families to be exact) in a hill station. It was ‘round nine in the night when we reached. We stayed in this cozy and cute guesthouse. It also had an outdoor movie theatre.

When it was around ten, the kids (well not really ‘kids’, we were all around the ages of 11-17.  We just couldn’t come up with a name for the ones excluding all our parents. So let’s just stick to ‘kids’ for now) planned on watching a movie and of course it was a horror movie! Yay! *note the sarcasm* There were five of us. Us both and three other guys.

We were all sitting in the patio and watching the movie while all our parents were sitting inside talking and laughing.  Laughing so hard. Anyway, the patio was pretty cool. We couldn’t get a good view of it because it was super dark but we remembered flashes of it from our previous visit. The place would’ve been peaceful except for the fact that there was a bloody HORROR movie playing in front of us!

The movie we were watching was Insidious: The Last Key. It was so scary. There was this time when we noticed figures passing us. Yes, freakin’ figures!! It felt so real! The movie really spooked us out. Once it was over, all of us headed inside. It was one in the morning (Time really didn’t matter while we were with our friends! We just let it pass! We don’t really care about that!). Our parents were still talking and laughin’ hard!

So we (only the two of us) headed into a room and sat there a while, doing nothing. Then Sunethra had visited the washroom and she felt a presence around there. Suddenly we both heard a noise. It was like someone was knocking from the other side of the washroom’s door. It was TERRIFYING! Sunethra was about to open the door, but I stopped her. We didn’t know what to do. We just sat there. That’s all we did. We didn’t move, we didn’t open the door and we definitely didn’t find out what it was (yup, we’re two cowardly idiots!). Maybe it was all in our heads…but the weird thing is that we both heard it. Maybe it was just twin telepathy or something. Or maybe it was just a maybe (And no, it was not the guys pranking us).

And the part where we slept in this really ‘uncanny’ room didn’t help the situation. We slept in a room that had no ventilation, some old chandeliers and strange windows (Btw, this room was in another guesthouse not the one where we saw the movie. All the five families couldn’t fit in that one. We had to divide and conquer). The whole night neither of us got any sleep. But apparently our mom did.

The whole thing that happened that day was a mystery and it’ll stay that way.  We want it to stay that way. That’s what life’s about right? Mysteries?

That’s all for this post guys! Hope you liked it!! Make sure to follow our blog by clicking the ‘follow’ icon present in the sidebar (the three lines) which can be found in the top right corner. Love y’all!

Finding our way through uncanny situations,

Pranavaa and Sunethra

P.S. We didn’t stay in that room after that night. We (only the two of us) shared a room in the other guesthouse with one of our mom’s friend and her sister for the rest of the trip.

  7. Oh, gods, it was so flippin' awesome, I -
Especially, I don't know if anyone else noticed it, but the way you switched point of views in between made it even more thrilling!
I kept wondering till the end what exactly might've happened. I re-read it, but I could only guess somebody was inside and s/he heard you panic and decided to have fun. Maybe the parents of some of the friends?
Just consoling myself lol! It was gr8!
