Dear World

Hey Dreamers! How's it goin' in Dreamland? Today we're here with a poem inspired by Saanvi. She tried poetry on her blog (which she thinks didn't go very well) and we thought we'd too! Here's the link to her post (don't hate us for this, Saanvi!). Now, let's get into it. Btw, this poem was written by Pranavaa.

Dear World, you raised me, making me believe I could be anything

I didn't know being me wasn't an option.

Dear World, you made me believe that you were everything I could ever dream of

I seemed to forget nightmares were dreams, too. 

Dear World, "I will be by your side" you told

I didn't know that excluded the people.

Dear World, you told me I was beautiful

Did that include my insecurities, too?

Dear World, you told me that I had time

I didn't know it was all that I had and didn't.

Dear World, "Always and Forever" you told

I don't want to find the harsh reality behind it now

Tell me that this is all a nightmare 

And take me to the place you told me about all along.
