"Phoebe" by Pranavaa
The wind blows through her hair,
As the waves crash shore;
Her eyes wander in the distance,
Searching for light
In the midst of dark.
She was named “the bright one”
Yet always wasn’t able to handle the dark;
Never lived up to her name,
Because how could a light shine
When it’s afraid of the dark?
The sun was her home,
So comforting, bright and hopeful;
And the moon was her alien,
Foreign, cold and soulless.
One day, she ran,
Away from all her fears,
To the one place she called her home;
Except it was nowhere to be found,
In the cold of the night.
Her eyes keep searching
As she stands ashore;
Something catches her eyes,
Looking bright, comforting and hopeful:
The moon.
It isn’t as dark as she remembered it,
It isn’t dark at all;
It looks bright and valiant
Shining in the sky
And radiating light upon the dark.
The night doesn’t seem scary now;
As she suddenly realizes,
The dark is just a sight
That’s yet to be seen.
Author’s note: The
name “Phoebe” means “the bright one”. Also, in Greek Mythology, Phoebe was a Titan associated with the moon.
The poem was awesome. Keep going. Waiting for more posts.

DeleteThis was one of the eautiful poem. It was so mature and you rock it.. And.. It was not a meaningless random poem too. Your ideology of selecting the name "Phoebe" was brilliant. Keep it up.. Love you❤❤❤
