From Tween to Teen - Sunethra

Hello Dreamers! What’s up? We’re back with you guys on #DreamerSunday. We're pretty sure you guys have read Pranavaa’s perspective of our thirteenth birthday and now it’s Sunethra’s turn. So let’s go!

I woke up without any expectations and with a fresh smile on my face. I went straight up to my closet and grabbed my outfit for the day (it’s the same as Pranavaa’s) . I quickly took a shower and got dressed. Then I put my accessories and my cute pink shoes. After that I headed out for breakfast which surprisingly enough was pancakes. That’s when I received a package from my one of my mother’s close friends which had a lot of my favourite food in it. I loved it! Subsequently Pranavaa and I took some pictures in our ‘adorable clothes’ and then went on to board the bus.

Eventually I reached school a lot of people wished me in the hallway but only a few of my classmates wished me. That’s because I told them to wait until my birth time (which wasn’t planned, it just happened). So it was five minutes before my birth time and a lot of my classmates and all of my close friends surrounded me (it wasn’t that cozy but it sure was special). It was only five minutes until my birth time but it felt like ages. Later I heard people singing the “Happy Birthday” song for Pranavaa in her class. So then we were all ready and 3 2 1...it was my birth time and all my friends wished me, hugged me and showered me with gifts. That moment was magical and unforgettable.

Later after all the classes were over, it was time to go home and that’s when I had an ultimate surprise. My close friends took me to a place in the school and made a ‘cake’ with a lot of Lotte Choco Pie (which I love so much) and gave me their gifts. I never expected that and I can’t believe how they planned without me knowing. It was the best! After that my mom picked us, Aishu and Dhanya (our bffs). We went home and garnished the house with balloons and all that stuff.

Next we went on to get dressed for the evening. Slowly my friends started showing up and hours later we cut the thirteen-shaped cake. We all had a lot of fun playing games and opening gifts. Finally the day came to an end, everyone started leaving and I refreshed myself and went to bed.

This birthday was one of the most precious birthdays (Duh!) and it was filled with surprises. I am so grateful to have had a birthday like this and I would never forget this birthday ever.

Just a little note from a massive MS Dhoni fan: (That’s me, Sunethra)

We all know that MSD has announced his international cricket retirement after a long one year of suspense with Suresh Raina joining the journey. I knew that this day would come but I never expected it to be yesterday. I mean, that’s life right? It happens in the most unexpected of times. MSD has always been the greatest (well according to me) and he can never be replaced. I really wanted for him to play the T20 WC but, No matter what I’ll never stop being an MSDian.
